EverFi VAULT for Middle School and EverFi Financial Scholar Program for High Schools
These programs provide interactive digital financial education to elementary/middle/high schools throughout our footprint. More than 225 students completed the curriculum last school year. In 2015, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) highlighted EverFi’s schools-based financial education programs in a new report on Advancing K-12 Financial Education: A Guide for Policymakers.

For the 2018 Spring Semester Murphy-Wall State Bank partnered with Ms. Fulk’s 5th grade class at Community Consolidated #204 as a beta class to explore the program. The Vault – Understanding MoneyTM Program is for Middle School students. The online course uses the latest in simulation and gaming technologies to bring complex financial concepts to life for today’s digital generation and introduce financial literacy skills early in a child’s cognitive development. The 2.5-hour curriculum aligns with state and national standards and includes topics such as saving, budgeting, responsibility and decision-making, credit and debt, careers, income, and charity.
Students using the tablet version of EverFi’s The Vault – Understanding MoneyTM
Murphy-Wall State Bank has provided funding for the EverFi – Financial EducationTM High School program for several years to Pinckneyville Community High School and Murphysboro High School (partnering with 1st Bank and Trust Murphysboro). The eight-hour web-based program uses the latest in new media technology to bring complex financial concepts to life for today’s digital generation. The platform uniquely tracks the progress and performance of every student and provides students who successfully complete the course with certification in financial literacy, a valuable mark of distinction on college applications and resumes.
