The Murphy-Wall State Bank PCHS Student of the Month for December is Grace Numi. The clubs and organizations Grace is involved in include Volleyball, FBLA, Youth & Government and Green Team. Volleyball is Grace’s main extra-curricular activity. She plans to attend Rend Lake College for her general subjects and then go on to a four-year university. Grace is pictured receiving her certificate from Meschelle Brand, Murphy-Wall State Bank SVP/Compliance Officer.
About the Award
PCHS Seniors were given the opportunity to apply for the Murphy-Wall State Bank PCHS Student of the Month honor at the beginning of the school year. They were asked to submit a 500 word essay with the topic: “What four classes, currently offered at your school or that you wish would be available, do you feel a student should complete before graduating from high school that assists in preparing students for an independent and successful life? And why?” Sixteen applications were submitted, with nine students being selected by a committee of three anonymous members from outside the community. These nine students will receive the honor of Student of the Month and $50. One of these nine students will receive the honor of Student of the Year and $1000.View Previous Student of the Month Seniors
