Murphy-Wall State Bank and Trust Company Student of the Year: Kassity Lee

Congratulations to the 2021 Murphy-Wall State Bank PCHS Student of the Year Kassity Lee!  While in high school, Kassity participated in Cross country, Soccer and Scholar Bowl, Beta Club, Science Club and FBLA.  Kassity plans to attend a four-year university for a degree in Marketing.  Lee is pictured receiving her certificate from Murphy-Wall State Bank Marketing Director Beth Thompson at the recent PCHS Awards Night conducted in Thomas Gym.

About the Award

PCHS Seniors were given the opportunity to apply for the Murphy-Wall State Bank PCHS Student of the Month honor at the beginning of the school year. They were asked to submit a 500 word essay with the topic: “What four classes, currently offered at your school or that you wish would be available, do you feel a student should complete before graduating from high school that assists in preparing students for an independent and successful life? And why?” Sixteen applications were submitted, with nine students being selected by a committee of three anonymous members from outside the community. These nine students will receive the honor of Student of the Month and $50. One of these nine students will receive the honor of Student of the Year and $500.View Previous Student of the Month Seniors
