Murphy-Wall State Bank Sponsors Billie Ray Craig Memorial Jr. Golf Classic at Red Hawk Golf Club

 

Boys 14-15 Slover, Summers

 

The Billie Ray Craig Memorial Junior Golf Classic, sponsored by Murphy-Wall State Bank and Trust Company was conducted Tuesday June 22, 2021 at the Red Hawk Country Club, Pinckneyville, IL. The tournament hosted junior golfers from across Southern Illinois. The tournament, which is a Point Event for the Southern Illinois Golf Association Junior Golf Tour, is named after the late Billie Ray Craig of Pinckneyville, an avid golfer and member of the Southern Illinois Golf Hall of Fame. His wife, Marlene Craig and son-in-law Wes Choate helped with the tournament in his memory. Murphy-Wall State Bank Marketing Director Beth Thompson and Murphy-Wall State Bank VP/Retail Banking Officer/Marketing Officer Candice Knight were on hand, representing the bank for the events of the day.

Boys 6-7 Easton, Conner, Case

In the 6-7 year old boys, Conner LaVoie received first and Easton Becker and Case Howell tied at second place.  In the 8-9 year old boys, Kaden Kueper received first, with Zander Lane and Zeke Tanner tying in at second (not pictured).

Girls 8-9 Duffy

In the 8-9 year old girls, Jacey Duffy made first place.

Boys 12-13 Hagler, Taylor

In the 10-11 year old boys, Kolton Wellty received first. In the 12-13 year old boys, Carson Hagler placed first and Miles Taylor placed second.

Girls 12-13 Stein

In the 12-13 year old girls, Karlie Stein placed first.

Boys 14-15 Slover, Summers

In the 14-15 year old boys group, Matt Slover got first place, while L. T. Travelstead and Preston Summers tied in at second.

Girls 14-15 Wilson, Luthy

In the 14-15 girls, Brenn Wilson placed in first, and Camryn Luthy received second.

Boys 16-18 Jones

In the 16-18 boys group, Layne Jones received first.

Girls Eastham, Fassett

In the 16-18 year old girls division, Elizabeth Eastham placed first, while Treya Fassett received second.
