Murphy-Wall State Bank Sponsors 2024 Billie Ray Craig Junior Golf Classic at Red Hawk Golf Club
The Billie Ray Craig Junior Golf Classic, sponsored by Murphy-Wall State Bank and Trust Company, was held Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Red Hawk Golf Course in Pinckneyville, IL. The tournament hosted junior golfers from across Southern Illinois. The tournament, which is a Point Event for the Southern Illinois Golf Association Junior Golf Tour, is named after the late Billie Ray Craig of Pinckneyville, an avid golfer and member of the Southern Illinois Golf Hall of Fame. Murphy-Wall State Bank Marketing Director Trey Bourque represented the bank at the tournament and assisted with award presentation.
Girls 16-18
In the 16–18-year-old girls’ division, Josie Welsh received first with a 71 and Avery Arendell and Brynn Stiegman tied at second place with 78.
Boys 16-18
In the 16–18-year-old boys’ division, Logan Lockhart received first with a 76 and Michael Brees and Josiah Jones tied at second place with 77.
Girls 14-15
In the 14–15-year-old girls’ division, Mya Russell received first with a 78 and Aubrey Coleman received second place with 81.
Boys 14-15
In the 14–15-year-old boys’ division, Ryder E. received first with a 77and Trevor Millenbine received second place with 78.
Girls 12-13
In the 12–13-year-old girls’ division, Katelyn Folden received first with a 50 and McKenna Hock received second place with 52.
Boys 12-13
In the 12–13-year-old boys’ division, Carter Toenjes received first with a 40 and Landon Holthaus received second place with 46.
Boys 10-11
In the 10–11-year-old boys’ division, Charlie Liefer received first with a 35 and Nixon Porter received second place with 48.
Boys and Girls 8-9
In the 8–9-year-old boys’ division, Emmit Kessler and Johnny Wilkins tied for first with a 27 and Ryder Weeks and Gunnar James tied at second place with 29.
In the 8–9-year-old girls’ division, McKenna Helvey received first with a 34.
Boys 4-5 and 6-7
In the 6–7-year-old boys’ division, Beckett Hannan placed first.
In the 4–5-year-old boys’ division, Ollie Moore received first, and Knox Craig received second place.
