Murphy-Wall State Bank Announces Alyssa Brokering and Chad Lynch as November 2024 Students of the Month

Murphy-Wall State Bank and Trust Company would like to congratulate Alyssa Brokering and Chad Lynch on earning the honor of being the Murphy-Wall Students of the Month for November in 2024!

After high school, Alyssa plans on completing her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at a four-year university then start gaining experience in the field as a travel nurse. Ultimately, Alyssa would like to go to nurse practitioner school to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Alyssa has enjoyed participating in several extracurricular activities throughout her high school career such as volleyball, softball, Beta Club, and ACES.

After high school, Chad plans to attend Lake Land Community College to obtain his associate’s degree in agriculture mechanics. He has already been accepted into the John Deere Technician training program. Chad has participated in many extracurriculars during high school such as baseball, science club, serving as Vice-President of Pinckneyville’s Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter, and employment at Riechmann Brothers.

About the Award

PCHS Seniors were given the opportunity to apply for the Murphy-Wall State Bank PCHS Student of the Month and President’s Scholar honor at the beginning of the school year.  Students were asked to submit up to a 500-word essay in application of this honor.  Out of nineteen applicants, twelve students will receive the honor of Student of the Month and $50. One of these twelve students will receive the honor of Student of the Year and a $1000 scholarship, and one will receive the honor of President’s Scholar and a $1000 scholarship. View Previous Student of the Month Seniors.
